This amazing branching Montipora Stellata originates from Reeffarmers and has three exotic attributes. 1) Known as the Lavender and Green Montipora which is a very rare coloration combination, 2) the surface of the Montipora stellata is riddled with ridges and bumps and 3) the montipora exhibits large bright green flower-like polyps.
When placed in low to moderate light this branching coral, the brown Symbiodinium pigment will dominate. On the surface, just the lavender blue ridges and green polyps will be visible above the brown. Under strong to moderate light levels, the brown from the Symbiodinium algae becomes less dominate. The surface is covred with lavender brown valleys with blue bumps and prominent ridges with bright green polyps. Use caution when placing under strong light levels.
